1992, originally under the name Empty Set. Empty Set consisted of Dan Hoerner (guitar, vocals), Nate Mendel (bass), and William Goldsmith (drums). They released a 7-inch, Flatland Spider, before a tumultuous period of musical chairs and name changes.
